2-20-10 Fun & Safety Day at K-Mart in Gainesville 8am - 2pm

The 4th annual Family Fun & Safety Day was held at the K-Mart Plaza on Newberry Road on On January 20th, 2010 in Gainesville. Children visisted the Safe Kids table for creative fun! Children decorated sacks with safety messages and filled the sacks with goodies from Safe Kids. There were pencil bags, color-change pencils, rubber bacelets, frisbees, crayons, activity books, etc. Safe Kids educated on the top 5 injury categories for Alachua County: Seat Belts, Burns, ATV’s, Drowning and Bike/Pedestrian (helmets). Adults could visit the Safe Kids table for driver tips, car seat information, swimming safety and much more.
Families also enjoyed free pizza and drinks, Florida License on Wheels vehicle, Child ID cards, free gun locks, ACSO holicopter, and many other agencies provided safety information.
