Safe Kids continued to plan and implement an ongoing,
car safety program to mobilize those at risk to take action.
The AAP (American Academy of Pediatrics) is revising their policy of recommending swimming lessons after the age of 4. Their new recommendations now reflect that lessons for ages 1 - 4 may save lives and children can retain the education on swim safety. Drowning is the 2nd leading cause of unintentional injury death in children ages 1 - 14 years. The APP hopes that early lessons will help save lives.
