Tri-County Heal and Safety Expo

Hundreds participate in the Tri-COunty Health & Safety Expo held at the football field in Chiefland.

This was an action-packed day full of activities, demonstrations and exhibits serving three counties.

Safe Kids fitted and distributed over 200 FREE bike helmets to local children - just in time for summer bicycle riding!

FHP demonstrated the rollover simulator to show the importance of seat belts in crashes. FHPP also demonstrated the DUI Fatal Vision Goggles to stress the dangers of drinking and driving.

Child ID cards were issued by the FLOW vehicle for children over 5 years of age.

Safety and Health categories were: fire, bicycle, swimming pool, ATV, water craft, child ID cards, bike helmets, free health screenings. Much more was offerred from local health agencies, clean water education, animal education and child health agencies.
